Okay, so I normally would never do this, but I am so mad. I ordered Madison's birthday invitations almost 2 weeks ago and still haven't even received a "proof" that you are supposed to get within 24-48 hours. She claims it was a computer glitch and she didn't get any orders made that day. I understand that, but its not the case because I emailed her immediately when I paid, and it was a response to ALL the order info I received so she would have received it that way if her order system glitched. No response. I emailed her a week later telling her I was trying to be understanding, knowing she is a SAHM just like I am but I still haven't received proofs and I need to get the invitations out. Thats when she responded with the story about the computer glitch and she would refund my money. Days later, still no refund either! I had to file a dispute with Paypal 3 days ago and STILL no refund! I emailed her saying, please refund my money, nothing. So, the lady has my money, and I get no invitations! This is my babies first birthday! Invitations were very important to me. I'm so glad I sent out an evite or else I'm sure not many people would even be able to make it. I'm so frustrated and mad at the whole situation. I mean, I have an online business, you can't do that to people and expect to stay in business. I have dealt with many SAHM businesses and they have all been professional and very quick! I ordered Maddy's birthday outfit from one and she made it and shipped it within 3 days!

SO, all that to say, Sweet-n-Sassy Ink, STINKS. Don't use them, stick with someone reputable. I won't say only use a big company because like I said, I understand the SAHM, just use someone honest and trustworthy, not someone who lies to cover their end and then keeps your money!

I really wish I would have read this before I ordered my son's first birthday invites from her. I am having the same situation except I got the proof and am still waiting on the invitations. Did you ever get your money back?

I too have had the same problem with this company. I have sent my emails requesting information and all have gone unaswered. I requested my order to be cancelled and two days later it is going to be shipped and it is too late to use. I am so frustrated!

we had also ordered invitations and some other party favors from Kristen Amodio. We sent her numerous emails and left numerous calls, she never called or emailed us back. We finally called and cancelled the payment on our credit card. Out of the blue, the invitations showed up- 12 days before the actual party. We had ordered these invitations in early november!! It is absolutely unacceptable!.

Ugh, I'm so sorry this happened to all of you! I just had to let people know somehow and vent my frustrations, she shouldn't be in business if this is the way customers are treated. I did get my money back but not through her, I had to file a dispute with Paypal and wait several days. I hope you find resolution soon!!

I had the same thing happen to me. I called and called and emailed and emailed -- nothing in response. After reading this post, and another one, I sensed a scam and filed a Complaint with the New Hampshire Consumer Protection agency which is part of the New Hampshire Department of Justice (where she lives). You can do so electronically. I suggest you do the same so she gets caught.

uhh the same thing is happening to me as we speak. I even gave her the option to refund my money or send my invites by next week or I will turn her into the better business bureau. She wrote me back once and now I have been waiting for 3 days for her to get to me. I am so frustrated! I have never seen a business like this!!

oh yeah it has been over a month since I ordered the invites! now I have to order from someone else!! :(

Okay I guess I should also report her. I ordered my invited a month in advance thinking I was really on top of things. My party is next week and I have left several messages and emails and she has not responded to one. I have filed a dispute with paypal after seeing how many complaints were out there. I am very shocked that this website has not been shut down yet. I will be reporting to whoever will listen. Thanks ladies for taking the time out to report her at any means possible.

Wish I had seen this before I ordered and paid. I have been emailing and calling her over a week now and no response. I will file a complaint as well.

Please everyone make a complaint against her through the better business bureau of New Hampshire. You will get your payment back within a week. I filed it and received my money back in a week.

I am so upset to read all of these comments. I am going through the same thing right now. I had sent her several e-mails before I placed the order with questions. She would always answer within two hours. I placed the order, approved the proof within one hour of her sending it to me and now I can't get her to answer me on the status of my order. I have been sending her e-mails for over two days now. I try to call and I get the message that her mailbox is full. I Googled her name to see if I could find other contact information and came across this blog. I see how others have said the filed complaints. Can you tell me specifically how to do that please?

To file a complaint with the BBB you need to go to bbb.org, you then need to click for businesses at the top, then click file a complaint. They are going to ask you for all her information which you can get off her website. You will have to tell them basically the whole story about your experience with her. Also when they ask what actions you want to be taken against her, please ask for your refund and to have some serious actions taken against her business. PLEASE everyone make a complaint. I have been following this blog for 3 weeks and since then I have already seen 3 people have this happen to them.

Omg!!!!This is happening to me as we speak my sons 1st birthday is this weekend and I have not received any of my items.She states they are slammed and will never return my calls.I have not heard from her now in three days and I email her at least twice a day.I keep waiting and nothing shows in the mail I feel so robbed this is the only 1st birthday he will have and he is my last child.I wish I could have read this before I ordered from her.I do not order from the internet much so I am just lost with what to do any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I just wanted to let you all know I am in the same boat! I placed my order, and received the confirmation and receipt via email and have heard nothing from her since! Like all of you, I have left several messages/emails and get no response. In my mind, she is stealing money from people and should be investigated by the police! I have filed a complaint with the BBB (you can do so online and it only takes a few minutes; I HIGHLY encourage all of you to do so!) and have filed a claim with my bank, as she has charged my visa debit card in full. I also had that particular visa card canceled, as I don't trust her and am scared of more unauthorized charges. It is sickening to me that someone can operate a business like this and continue to get away with it. She is preying on innocent people who are on time constraints (i.e. birthday parties). I consider myself a smart consumer and wanted to do business with a stay-at-home mom operating her own business but I feel totally duped...and mad!!!

Whew! I am so happy that I decided to Google her name and came across this post.
I am currently trying to contact Kristen to order my daughter’s Birthday invitations. Kristen immediately replied to my first email with a very enthusiastic "Yes, I can do the job!"; and then that was the last I heard from her.
Thankfully I found this blog before I sent her any payment...Thanks again so much for saving me the money, time and headaches.
This is awful - I hope all of you get back your hard earned dollars!

I really thought that I was buying my son's thank you cards from a reputable web site. I've never had any problems buying anything online. I have e-mailed her and left her a voice mail. As of Friday, I can no longer leave her a voice mail because her mailbox is FULL! I sent her an e-mail on Friday stating my frustration and saying that I demand a refund. I even left my cell number so that she could call me. Nothing. I will be filing a complaint against Ms. Amodio and Sweet and Sassy Ink. Thanks for posting this.

Ok so I reported this to the BBB and they suggest to also file a complaint with the Attorney General so I did that also.Currently Kristen has 23 complaints with the BBB and 7 that are still open this is all public record for anyone to check now I know.I to do not purchase much of the internet but have been shocked at how she did business.I got a refund for some of my order about two weeks after she had promised.I had to get the file from her of my invites emailed to me and then go spend more money to have them printed out at Walmart.All of this was two days before my party so none of the invites even got mailed to my out of town guests.What a pain it was and stressful to deal with her.I ordered the little foil "upgrade" bags which when i got my order I never had they were shorted.Oh and the big kicker is I finally received my candy bar wrappers and bubble labels they arrived at my home 14 hours before my party was to begin.I would highly suggest filing a complaint with the BBB they have helped sooooo much.

Yes, Sweet-N-Sassy Ink is still in business and taking people's money!! I ordered my invitations 2 weeks ago and have still not received them even though I paid an additional $10 for RUSH processing. HAHA on me for that! I have filed a complaint with her local Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org) and with the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office (www.doj.nh.gov). Please go to these sites and file complaints too because she is robbing people not only of money but of precious memories. My son was sooooo excited about his Thomas the Train invitations and now we have NONE and he is disappointed!

Same thing happened to me last July for my daughter's second birthday. She was very communicative before the order and $ was paid--after I have called, emailed and even sent a letter signature required (which she signed and I have a copy of her signature but she never acknowledged). I opened a dispute with PayPal and won but they said they could not return the $ (I guess she didn't have enough in her account). I am going to file with BBB and NH. Thanks for the info.

the same thing is happening to me...I should have researched a little more before ordering, but I placed the order a week ago and have not heard a thing from her...but of course, she took my money. So frustrating!!!!

It's 2009, May 29th!! It's not fair that she's still up and running on the internet & taking parent's money and childrens' smiles. I just found this blog and I placed my order May 5th. The party isn't until June 27 and I'm glad I mailed a store bought invite in the beginning & would use her creation as something extra. Regardless of all that, I have not received anything but a debit to my pay pal account and a proof that I was so happy about. What can we do to get her site shut down besides BBB, ripoff.com, post blogs like these, etc. I've learned a lesson, but should this continue?

Kristen from Sweet-n-Sassy Ink is the worst! I ordered my invitations and favors on 5/9/09 and have had no communication from Kristen since my proof was approved. Thank you to those who provided web sites for launching formal complaints. I will do that next. It's disgusting that this lady is still in business - ruining children's events in the process.

Same here. I was sooo excited when I came across this webiste as I too was on mission to have best first birthday party ever for my son. I order a proof on 8/12/10 and instantly received a e-mail confirmation/receipt. I waited to almost a week to receive a proof. I had my husband design 3 different styles of invitations but decided to go ahead and place an order after Kristen assured me the invites could be mailed out the next day. Here we are 1 week later, and less than 3 weeks from the party and we have no invitations. I am going to take my high resolution file and print out my own invites tomorrow so I can finally put my mind at ease. I will attempt to get my money refunded from Paypal and am going to file a complaint with the BBB right now. I only hope other mom's come across this blog before ordering anything from Kristen.

I am so upset that I did not google her before this. I, too, ordered my son's invitations from her and have yet to receive the proof. I have been calling and emailing her to no avail. I will definitely be lodging a complaint with the BBB.

I order off the internet all the time and this is the first time something like this has ever happened. I am so disappointed. Hopefully, I can find another source for my son's birthday invitations.
